Service Description
Course Overview Welcome to the Basics of Robotics- regular class! This engaging and hands-on course is designed for students aged 10-16 who are excited to learn about the world of robotics. Over the course of this regular class, participants will learn the foundational concepts of robotics and gain practical experience in designing, building, and programming their own robots. Topics Covered Basics of Electronics: Introduction to electrical components and circuits Understanding voltage, current, and resistance Hands-on activities with breadboards, resistors, capacitors, and LEDs Sensors: Overview of various types of sensors (e.g., ultrasonic, infrared, touch) How sensors work and their applications in robotics Integrating sensors into robotic projects Actuators: Understanding motors and servos How actuators convert electrical energy into motion Practical exercises to control actuators in robotic systems How to Design a Robot: Basic principles of robot design Structural considerations and material selection Designing and building a robot chassis 3D Printing: Introduction to 3D printing technology Basics of 3D modeling software Printing custom parts for robotic projects Programming: Fundamentals of programming languages used in robotics (e.g., Python, Arduino, MIT Scratch!) Writing and debugging code for robot control Programming for sensor input and actuator output Fun Competition Games To put your skills to the test and have fun, the camp includes various exciting competitions: Maze Solving: Program your robot to navigate through a maze autonomously. Line Following: Build and code a robot that can follow a line track accurately. Obstacle Avoidance: Develop a robot capable of detecting and avoiding obstacles. Robotic Fight: Engage in friendly robot battles, testing durability and control. Robotic Soccer: Design and program robots to play soccer in a mini-arena. Learning Outcomes By the end of the camp, participants will: Have a solid understanding of the basics of electronics, sensors, and actuators. Be able to design and build simple robotic structures. Gain proficiency in programming robots for various tasks. Apply their knowledge in fun and competitive scenarios, enhancing their problem-solving and teamwork skills.
